Official accreditation by Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) for the 2025 Cameroon Presidential Election observation mission
CEREDDA is pleased to announce that it has received official accreditation from Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) to deploy an independent election observation mission for the 2025 Cameroon Presidential Election. This accreditation reflects CEREDDA's established credibility as an independent civil society organisation committed to the promotion of electoral integrity and democratic governance across Africa.
CEREDDA's election observers — drawn from its team of researchers, governance experts, and partner organisations — will be deployed across key electoral districts to independently monitor the conduct of the presidential poll. Observers will assess compliance with Cameroonian electoral law, evaluate the conditions for free and fair voting, and document any irregularities for inclusion in CEREDDA's post-election report.
This observation mission is conducted as part of CEREDDA's Elections & Democracy Programme, which has engaged with election observation across Africa for more than three decades. The mission is fully funded by CEREDDA and conducted independently of any political party, government, or external funder with a stake in the election outcome.
